History of Silver

Today, ProtectSol with SilverSol Technology® is distinguished from any other silver liquids by the way it is suspended in the water. ProtectSol has a tremendous reach and spectrum of all the viruses, bacteria, mold, yeast, parasites and funguses that it kills in its path. It is important to learn about the uses and technology that has evolved with silver starting from the first known uses of silver to the natural antibiotic and antimicrobial destroying applications it is used for today.

Silver has been known as a germ fighter for thousands of years. This intriguing substance was used internally, externally, to purify water, and retard spoilage of food. The earliest recorded use as an antibiotic germ fighter was in ancient Egypt, Greece and Roman empires. Later documented uses of silver were in India, China, the Middle East, and Europe.

The Romans stored wine in silver urns and the Emperors in China used silver chopsticks. Furthermore, the Greeks used silver vessels to keep their liquids from forming bacteria and the more affluent class in the Middle Ages used silver for cooking and in drinking vessels and utensils. Although, today, our silverware may not contain pure silver as it did then, this protected many of the wealthy class from the ravaging affects of the black plague.

In the last century the applications of silver consist of suspending silverware, gold or silver wedding rings or silver coins in water. This not only preserved the water from a build up of bacteria but if consumed would greatly reduce the duration of a sickness. This is particularly true with the early settlers in the Australian outback, Iran and other Middle Eastern countries and with the first settlers in the Americas.

As far as we know, Colloidal Silver was the first commercialized silver solution. It was widely used in hospitals and was known as a bactericide. Then in the 1800s, silver sutures were used by doctors in surgeries with successful results. It is also known to be, used of course in small amounts, as a tonic, elixir to rejuvenate patients debilitated by disease or age.

In the early 1900s the use of silver did loose favor and this was attributed to synthetically manufactured drugs. The simplicities of manufacturing, the use of treatment and the profitability of manufactured drugs gave way over the uses of silver. This was in a time that there were no antibiotic resistant strains. Silver is not resistant to viruses or bacteria and therefore, is now becoming a more prominent solution for overall wellness.

While Primitive Colloidal or Ionic silvers may have many good health benefits, there are limitations. Colloidal and Ionic contains much higher concentrations of silver and are not permanently attached or suspended in the water. Therefore, Colloidal silver has been know to turn a person’s skin a bluish grey color because the silver detaches from the water and as the water leaves the body the silver can build up.

ProtectSol with SilverSol Technology® is distinguished from any other silver liquids by the way it is suspended in the water. With ProtectSol the silver and water is permanently combined and cannot be separated. Therefore, there is no chance of toxicity because it will flow out of the body within two days. Also with ProtectSol the healing properties of silver has a broader reach in the body and a unlimited spectrum of the illnesses and ailments that it can heal.

Silver was employed anciently to maintain health and bring healing relief to many. The Egyptians, Romans, and Chinese developed a particular affinity to silver as it was also perceived to extend life and enhance youthfulness. Yet, those same illnesses from viruses, bacteria, and infections still afflict us today. However, the antimicrobial destroying properties of silver, and more specifically, ProtecSol, transcend time and therefore, are pleasantly available to us today.
